Knight Online Dedicated Server Hosting
The next step when you reach the limits of a virtual server. The entire physical machine becomes yours; cores are shared with no one, and you distribute multiple IPv4 addresses across your clients however you like. Your clients reach the Knight Online game server with 0.2-0.3 ms latency.
The Whole Machine Is Yours
The core points that separate a dedicated server from a virtual one, and where our infrastructure stands on each. Measurements are taken via the Istanbul Radore location.
Game server latency is the delay between the client running on the server and the Knight Online server; it is independent of your own internet connection. The number of IPv4 addresses and the hardware configuration vary by plan; details are in the plan table.
Six Things You Will Not Find on a Virtual Server
If you already run your Knight Online clients on a VDS, the points below summarise what you gain by moving to a physical server.
Unshared Physical Hardware
There is no other customer on the server. Processor cores, memory and storage are entirely yours; a neighboring workload has no effect on your performance.
Multiple IPv4 Addresses
Your plan comes with a pool of IPv4 addresses. You distribute those addresses across your clients on the server however you like.
High Single-Core Performance
A game client is mostly sensitive to single-core speed. High clock speed processors preserve response times even with many clients open.
Kolan Custom Windows Image
The Windows installation we prepare for multiple game clients — with unnecessary services and background tasks disabled — comes as standard on dedicated servers too.
Full Hardware-Level Control
You manage the operating system, drivers and system settings without restriction. Remote access is provided for reinstallation and power operations.
Long-Term Stability
Our Tier III data center provides generator-backed uninterruptible power, redundant cooling and multiple independent network connections; the infrastructure is monitored 24/7.
Your Cores Are Shared With No One
On a virtual server the physical machine is divided among several customers. Even with our fair-share policy guaranteeing resources, a virtualization layer inherently carries some wait. On a dedicated server there is no such layer: the machine's processor, memory and storage work solely for your workload from end to end.
Where this difference is felt most is when you run many game clients at once. What matters is not peak performance but predictable performance that does not change over hours. On unshared hardware, sessions left open through the night keep running at the same speed regardless of daytime load.
- All physical cores are reserved for you — no vCPU allocation
- Predictable performance that does not drift over time
- Memory and disk bandwidth are not divided up
- You are unaffected by other workloads on the same machine
Distribute Your Clients Across Different IP Addresses
Opening many concurrent sessions through the same IP address can run into connection limits on the game side. Our dedicated plans are delivered with a pool of multiple IPv4 addresses precisely for this need; the number of addresses varies by plan and is stated in the plan table.
You distribute the addresses on the server: you decide which game client goes out through which address, and you can change the configuration whenever you like. If your needs grow you can request additional IPv4 addresses; allocation depends on current stock and RIPE policies.
- A ready IPv4 pool included with the plan
- You distribute the addresses across your clients freely
- Additional IPv4 on request (subject to stock and RIPE policies)
- Every address egresses via the same Istanbul infrastructure, 0.2-0.3 ms from the game server

Frequently Asked Questions About Knight Online Dedicated
Answers about IPv4 allocation, delivery times, hardware control and how it differs from a VDS.
Unlike a virtual server, the entire physical machine is rented to you. The processor, memory and storage are not shared with another customer; you connect to the server over remote desktop (RDP) and install and run your game clients yourself.
Yes, they are the same service. KO is the abbreviation players commonly use for Knight Online; searches for "rent KO dedicated" or "Knight Online bare metal server" all describe the service on this page.
There are two main reasons: resources and IP addresses. On a dedicated server the cores are shared with no one, so performance does not change over time; the plan also comes with a pool of IPv4 addresses you can distribute across your clients. If your usage is still small in scale, a VDS is a more cost-effective start.
The number of IPv4 addresses varies by plan and is stated in the plan table. You distribute the addresses on the server however you like. If your needs grow you can request additional IPv4 addresses; allocation depends on current stock and RIPE policies, and our sales team will tell you the current situation.
That depends on the plan's processor and memory capacity; every client you open uses a certain amount of memory. We prefer not to commit to an exact number — tell our sales team how many clients you plan to run and we will determine a configuration that fits your needs together.
Yes. The custom Windows installation we prepare for running multiple game clients comes pre-installed on dedicated plans as well. Services and background tasks that serve no purpose are disabled, and the components the game needs are ready.
Unlike a virtual server, a dedicated server requires physical hardware preparation. The time depends on the configuration you choose, current stock and any special requests. Our sales team gives you a firm delivery time before you order.
You connect over remote desktop (RDP) and have full administrator rights on the server. You can install any software you want and adjust the system configuration freely. Remote management access is provided for reinstallation and power operations.
Yes, it is included as standard on all our dedicated plans at no extra cost. Filtering happens at the 200+ Tbps backbone level; malicious traffic is scrubbed before it reaches your server's line.
Yes. Memory and storage upgrades are possible on most configurations; changing the processor may require moving to a different server. Tell us what you need and we will let you know the available options and any downtime in advance.
Yes. Tell us what you need — a different processor, higher memory, additional storage or an extended IPv4 pool — and we will prepare a custom quote for you. Reaching us through the form or by phone is enough.
No. Kolan Bilişim Teknolojileri provides the hardware, the network connection, IPv4 allocation, DDoS protection, the custom Windows image and infrastructure-level technical support. The game client and the game account belong to you, and you handle the installation.
Your Dedicated Server in 3 Steps
Unlike a virtual server, a physical server requires hardware preparation. The process runs transparently from start to finish.
Define the Configuration
Choose a plan from the list or tell us what you need. If we know how many clients you plan to run, we will determine the right hardware and IPv4 pool together.
Approve the Quote
The configuration, the number of IPv4 addresses, pricing and delivery time are sent to you in writing. Once you approve, the hardware is reserved in your name.
Setup and Delivery
The server is built, the Kolan custom Windows image is installed and your IPv4 addresses are configured. Once your access details arrive the server is ready to use.
When Should You Move From VDS to a Dedicated Server?
Not every customer needs a dedicated server. If you are just starting to run Knight Online clients, or working with a limited number of sessions, Knight Online VDS plans are both more cost-effective and delivered within minutes.
A dedicated server becomes meaningful once your usage reaches the top of the VDS range. If more than one of the points below applies to you, it is time to move to physical hardware; if you are not sure, our sales team will look at your current usage and point you in the right direction.
- You regularly max out the resources of the largest VDS plan
- Working through a single IP address has started to limit you
- You want performance that does not change during long sessions
- You want full control over the hardware and system settings
